Volunteer to be an OSEC Care Specialist

It’s been a long time coming, but this month, we are finally deploying our first class of Volunteer Care Specialists into caregiving homes in Nevada County! We are fielding 10 Volunteer Care Specialists, including OSEC Founder and Executive Director Donna Raibley. Two of our volunteers – Sue Flynn and Laura Detata – have stepped up to take on two caregiving homes each – and it’s still not enough. We have a growing waiting list, and we are gearing up to train another class of Volunteer Care Specialists this spring.

OSEC Volunteer Care Speciallists
The first class of Volunteer Care Specialists graduated last fall. They are now being deployed to caregiver homes in Western Nevada County.

. This is where YOU come in. We need 20 good men and women to step forward for 24 hours (three Saturdays) of FREE, non-medical training in how to be a compassionate and competent  companion caregiver. Call Donna Raibley at 530-205-9514 or 530-802-6154 for more information or apply to be a Volunteer Care Specialist.

Have a heart, give a caregiver hope.
