A market analysis of Nevada County shows a large demographic population of 65 and older at 23.4%, almost double the California average of 12.9%, or the national average of 14.5%.  This means that 1 out of every 4 individuals in Nevada County are 65 and over.

About 65.7 million people in the United States (one in four adults) were unpaid family caregivers to an adult or child in 2009.

14% who care for older adults are age 65 or older,  two-thirds are women, and on average, caregivers spend 20 hours a week providing care.
